Whatsapp hacks!

Disclaimer: Many of you might be knowing this simple hack, but this write up is just for people who might not know…

With the current lock down situation stretching to an eternity, all of us are glued to one social media platform or the other apart from our work! Be it Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or Whatsapp or any other social media platform, we go round and round them, checking them all periodically! 🙂

Has your Whatsapp message been read by the user?

So, have you wondered if the message that you sent has been read by the user or not? Of course, we all know that a “blue double tick” next to the message indicates that it has been read by the user.

But what time was it delivered and when was it read? If you want to know that, for Android phones:

1. Simply select the message
2. Click the 3 dots on the upper right hand corner of the screen
3. Select ‘Info’

5. And you will get the time at which the message was read!

The above picture shows that the message was delivered to the receiver at 1:21 p.m. but was read only at 3:02 p.m.!! 🙂

How to see if the message was read by any/all people in the group:

If you are in a Whatsapp group and you would like to know how many people have seen and read you message, follow the same directions!

1. Select the message
2. Click the 3 dots in the right hand corner of screen
3. Click on ‘Info’ and you will get the following screen:

In the above picture we can see that a message that was forwarded in a group(of course, I have erased the message!! :)) was read by two people – one at 10:40 p.m. and the other person read the message at 4:17 a.m.!!

Now isn’t this fun! 🙂
