I was introduced to ‘Medium.com’ by the same person who introduced me to writing! (thank you, it is a fun site! :))Most of my writer and blogger friends must be well aware of Medium.com. Here are the salient points of Medium.com:

1. With Medium.com you can write to your hearts content for free
2. In Medium’s own words, ” “Anyone can write on Medium. Thought-leaders, journalists, experts, and individuals with unique perspectives share their thinking here”
3. It was created by Evan Williams in August 2012. Evan Williams was the co-founder of Twitter and Blogger
4. It is considered to be the “YouTube of writing”
5. There are about 170 million readers on Medium to find great and insightful content
6. You read, write and earn money for your content on Medium
7. With the basic membership, you can only read 3 articles/month for free
8. You can appreciate good content by clapping for them, highlighting them, leaving responses or highlighting them
9. You can customize your interests and you will see articles recommended to you based on your interests
10. You can additionally become a member for $5/month or $50/year and you can get access to unlimited ad- free access to all stories
11. If you would like to earn money through writing, you have to join the Medium Partner program.
12. Currently, the Medium Partner program is available only for the following countries:

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.
