I started my blogging journey in 2012, accidentally! Many of you might be knowing but I am an accidental writer! 🙂 I had just finished my M.S from the US and had returned to India and was looking for suitable WFH opportunities since both my kids were young. The Information Security landscape was in its nascent stages in India and there were not enough opportunities in that space and I was looking for opportunities mostly in that space only along with programming options.
As luck would have it, I got a writing job in Java which led to writing Information security blog articles for another organization(Simplilearn) My blog posts for Simplilearn are still alive today on the web and I am proud of that! 🙂

I soon started writing for many other organizations like Whizlabs, Jigsaw Academy and InfoSec Train. Do have a look at some other InfoSec posts as well! 🙂

Initially, I was only blogging only Information Security topics as it was my primary passion. Soon, I switched to writing on any technical topic. By this time, about 2-3 years had passed and I was still writing as a freelancer for different organizations. I enjoyed being a blogger and writing on Information Security and Java.
It was 2017, and I had also started writing my personal thoughts and journeys. I started my own self-hosted blog(blogtech.online) and my personal blog at (jayanthiweb.wordpress.com) My writing life was good and great! (we will not consider the pay! ;))
Blogchatter’s blogging challenges boosted my interest in blogging and gave it some Google recognition! 🙂 My blog today gets steady traffic even though it is not sizzling all the time. There are some blog posts that get regular traffic and I am amazed from the different countries where my visitors come from.
I converted some of my personal blog posts for an e-book which eventually became a published book! :)(Yipee! :)) Do buy it here:

Here’s to more blogging and happiness for the years ahead! 🙂

As an accidental writer myself, I found much that we have similar, though I do not have the tech savvy that you do!
