The new logo is “Doge” – a Shibu Inu dog! (why?! :()
At first when I opened Twitter and saw this, I thought I was seeing things(!#@*!!) I even thought a virus had crept my Twitter feed and changed my blue Twitter bird to the dog!! (InfoSec professional’s brain!! :)) As I browsed more and realized that this was a Twitter reality, I was truly dazed for this new reality…(as another Twitter user noted, “Will my tweets become barks now? (face palm!!))
Why this sudden change in Elon Musk’s own words:
As most of my world knows, Twitter is now owned by Elon Musk and there have been several changes on the platform itself. But this is one change that has changed the face of Twitter!! There has been no specific reason for this sudden change apart from the fact that a user had tweeted Musk to buy Twitter and change the logo and it was done! (Oh…my)
What is next?
The new logo is apparently a “doge” meme of the Dodgecoin cryptocurrency. The cryptocurrency soared in value after Twitter adopted it… what will happen in the future? God only knows… 🙂
