I recently achieved the ‘Certified Blockchain Expert’ from Blockchain Council and here are some of the details of the exam.
After drowning in Information security concepts, I was wondering what technology to study next when the concept of Blockchain was gaining widespread attention about 2 years back. I just loved the decentralized concept of Blockchain technology. I started browsing more about Blockchain then and Blockchain Council’s ‘Certified Blockchain Expert’ caught my attention. I read more and enrolled in the course which involved online training and online exam. Here are a few details of the exam:
- The entire course is roughly for about 9 hours, but with prior knowledge of Blockchain, you can finish it faster.
- The exam was for 1 hour and had 45 questions(my exam version is 2018)
- It is online and open book
- You have to secure 60% in order to clear the exam
- In case, you fail the exam, you can take it the next day.
- You can take the exam for 3 attempts and if you fail after that too – you can call them personally and ask for assistance
- The exam deals with Blockchain, Bitcoin and Ethereum
- The exam does not require any Blockchain experience but you do need to have basic knowledge of Computer Science
- The cost of the exam is $129
- The certification does not any expiration date though it will be up to you to renew the certification and keep up with regular up skilling
My thoughts on the exam:
I found the exam to be easy even though I had postponed taking for 2 years!! (yes, that is me…I postpone and wait for the perfect time to do it!! 🙂 :)) But I had studied and read all about Blockchain and my basic fundamental thoughts were clear.
