I have been doing a lot of Blogchatter activities for a long time and I love all their tracks but it is the ‘Blogchatter E-book carnival’ track that has since been retired that still brings a smile to my face.
I was an on and off blogger who had written blogs for organizations and who had just started her own blog in 2017. Blogchatter was also just starting then and was in its infancy. I knew I loved to write and pour my heart out. I loved to express my technical thoughts initially and my blog was the perfect place to do that. Blogchatter’s tracks helped my blog get visibility and get an Alexa rank(then!) My blog started getting more traffic and more recognition because of Blogchatter’s campaigns. It also started to get featured in Google search results.
Amidst all the Blogchatter tracks like BlogchatterA2Z, Blogchatter Half Marathon, MyFriendAlexa(which has also been retired), the ‘Blogchatter E-book Carnival’ was very unique. It came close on the heels of the ‘BlogchatterA2Z campaign’ which ran all through April.
BlogchatterA2Z:
In the BlogchatterA2Z campaign, which ran all through April(for which this post is a part of, this year :)) each participant had to write for one post a day corresponding to each letter of the alphabet series. This campaign ran all through April and participants had to write on all days of April except for Sundays.
Blogchatter E-book Carnival:
The ‘Blogchatter E-book Carnival’ followed the BlogchatterA2Z series and the main idea behind this track was to help bloggers become authors of published books! 🙂 (Wasn’t it an amazing idea) So, how did this happen? The same participants who participated in the A2Z series could turn their 26 blog posts into an e-book and publish it on the Blogchatter site!! Participants who had their content ready for a book could also participate. A lot of suggestions were given as to how to convert blog posts into an e-book so that it could smooth and seamless which were all spectacular.
The entire process was wonderful and all of us bloggers became accomplished authors soon after!! After a month of being hosted on Blogchatter’s site, all the books could now be published elsewhere through any other publisher. And that is how many of us bloggers became fully published authors.
I could hardly think of myself beyond being a writer/blogger and it was exciting to be a published author now!
Were you part of Blogchatter’s E-book carnival? Did you publish any books? Wasn’t it a wonderful experience?
This post is for BlogchatterA2Z by Blogchatter!
This blog has 🙂

I had been into Tamil mailing groups and blogging arena since year 2000. But over the period, they lost their steam. In addition, it restricts the boundary of our writing within a linguistic groups. I lost interest, but at some point of time I got to know about blogchatter. It is truly an amazing community.
Yes…did u do the E-book carnival from Blogchatter?
I was part of Blogchatter Book Carnivals and was delighted by the experiences.
It was amazing…wasn’t it? 🙂
I have been participating in the A to Z challenge since 2016, and it’s been an incredible journey of creativity, discipline, and sheer writing madness. This year marks my 9th A to Z, and honestly, I still get the same thrill as I did the first time! The best part? Turning all that effort into a book for the Blogchatter E-Book Carnival—a tradition I absolutely love. From brainstorming themes to pushing myself to write daily, it’s a challenge that keeps me on my toes. The excitement of publishing an e-book, seeing fellow writers do the same, and celebrating our work together is unmatched. Over the years, this carnival has given me a platform to showcase my writing and connect with an amazing community. I’ve grown as a writer, experimented with different styles, and even won an award for my book! With my 9th A to Z in full swing, I can’t wait to be part of the e-book carnival once again. Cheers to another year of writing, publishing, and making memories!
The E-book carnival has been retired for the last 2 years, I think… and in its place is the Blogchatter Anthology, if I am not wrong…. but all the writing tracks are super fun for sure! 🙂
Oh what fun memories of the ebook Carnival Jayanthi. I still think that if it weren’t for BlogchatterA2Z and ebook carnival, I wouldn’t have 4 books to my name! And I remember reading your tribute to your father in the last ebook carnival
True, Harshita… same for me as well… would have never thought of publishing a book as well… and yes, you are right – I did write about my father in the last carnival…
