Ask anybody who is writing for their own blog and they will say that their life is the best! 🙂 Why? Here are some reasons, why I love writing for my own blog! 🙂
- I AM THE KING! 🙂
It may sound very arrogant and cheesy, but just knowing that I am the one in charge of all my content is a great feeling. I can see the posts that are doing well on my blog along with the traffic and I can plan the strategy too. This just makes me feel like THE KING for my blog! 🙂
2. NO ONE DECIDES HOW LONG MY POST SHOULD BE
While a good length for a blog post is supposed to be around 300 words, I can write for as much on my blog or as little!! Creativity and ideas flow suddenly and the ability to write them down immediately and publish them instantly on the blog is a lovely feeling. At the same time, I do not have to worry about the length of the post and can keep it at the optimum length.
3. NO RUNNING AROUND FOR PAYMENTS
Since it is my own blog, I do not have to worry about getting payments from anybody. Recently, I got Google Adsense certified and it is nice to see the gradual growth there too.
4. NO THINKING ABOUT WHEN MY POSTS WILL BE PUBLISHED
Having my own blog ensures that I don’t have to wait to see my posts published(which is the case with corporate blogs) I write, put appropriate pictures and do the SEO and just hit the ‘PUBLISH’ button. I do not have to wait for my posts to be published…
5. FEELS LIKE I OWN A BUSINESS
Owning a blog and writing for it also makes me think as if I am owning a small business !! 🙂 The pride of owning it and working on it is immeasurable….:)
Note: My blog is not a source of income for me as yet! 🙂 It is just a nice space to showcase my thoughts…

Having your own blog certainly makes you feel like a king. Yes, it is that you are an enterpreneur and running your own personal brand. I never started blogging with making it a source of income but over the years it has and that makes me happy.

For me, the biggest advantage of having a blog is to have a space where I can write. It allows me to write and because of the challenges, I also get to create different kinds of content.
